The effects of globalisation

It is important to consider the impact of globalisation on your business. Globalisation is not a new phenomenon. However, compared to a couple of years ago, the effect of globalisation today is so strong that it should be classified as news.
In our next issue of Establishing Abroad, everything indicates that globalisation will increase. Never have we come across such a high number of aggressive organisations and companies willing to attract new and highly competitive companies to their countries and regions.  We see the design of various service packages for establishing abroad being adapted for small and medium sized knowledge enterprises.
Some countries and organisations are further ahead and their service packages include accompanying co-workers and families, which makes it extremely fast and easy to get established in a new country.
What strikes me is the enormous power and determination in these recruiting organisations and companies, as well as the frequently used words “Brain Drain” - words I have been considering; abstract, powerful and something nobody would like to see happening to their country or region.
What is “Brain Drain”? Quite simply it means loss of knowledge and it is in fact knowledge that competition is all about. Shouldn’t there be future winners and losers in this game? I am convinced that is the case.
What remains to be seen is what the future market structure will look like. The map is being redesigned with no consideration to country borders and governments.
