In the second quarter, figures of purchases and sales were reported. Big Swedish companies ended up with 31 deals including 21 purchases and 10 sales. According to statistics, this turned out to be an increase of 63 percent compared with the second quarter last year.
Asia has been and continues to be a successful place to do business. Figures show that most deals have occurred in Asia and Eastern Europe. Not many deals have occurred in Western Europe and the Nordic countries.
The construction and manufacturing industry accounted for 42 percent of all business transactions, while the commodity and energy sector accounted for 23 percent.
Large corporations make many international investments. In addition, most of these companies managed to stand strong during the crises. The situation has been worse for small and medium-sized enterprises.
