The world's top 100 countries

Newsweek has ranked the world's top 100 countries and has focused on answering one simple and one incredibly complex issue. If you were born today, which country would give you the best opportunity to live a healthy, safe, and a reasonably prosperous life?

For this complex investigation, Newsweek chose five
categories of national prosperity - education, health, quality of life, economic competitiveness and political situation. Newsweek then compiled the statistics in these categories in100 nations.

An important formula resulted in a comprehensive list of the
world´s 100 countries.

The top three countries were:

1. Finland
2. Switzerland
3. Sweden
