Last week Swedbank reported that the situation in the U.S. is not as great as we had hoped for. Millions of jobs have been lost and individuals are pessimistic about the situation.
At the moment, Indian call centers and outsourcing companies see the opportunities in the United States. High unemployment have contributed to that the cost advantages in India no longer exists.
From a positive perspective, these establishments will help to increase the number of jobs for American workers. In some parts of the United States, wages have been reduced for less skilled workers, while they have increased by about 10 percent for Indian call center workers.
Workers in the U.S. are interested in all sorts of jobs in this situation, and would be happy to work from home. They may even consider to go down in pay. The Indian companies will benefit from the competence and expertise available in the U.S.
Since the unemployment rate in the U.S has turned so high, it is now considered as attractive to operate in both countries.
