Singapore EDB

We have offices around the world with HQ in Singapore. Our office in Stockholm has always been in charge of the Nordic countries and now lately also for Russia.

The staff in the office has been one Singapore manager and myself, The Singapore bosses are staying for 3 years and then go on on their career ladder. They are very young when they come out for their first global posting.

The main task for all our global offices is to find companies to attract to Singapore. When I started 40 years ago we were mainly looking for companies for manufacturing but now lately it has been more of Research & Development co-operations

I have built up a great contact net when it comes to Nordic companies and been supportive to find new companies for the bosses to meet and encourage to move to Singapore

Since being alone most of the time the job has been very interesting with different tasks, all from preparing coffee when having guests to meet the Singapore Prime Minister

Have had the pleasure to visit Singapore some 15 times over my 40 years and have got many friends there. Each trip to Singapore has been very nice since I have been invited to friends homes and it is not like I am a normal tourist coming

Singapore is a republic and its size is 6 times Lidingö. There are some 5 million people living there, the main part is of Chinese origin and then the rest Malays, Indians, expatriates etc

The country has developed a lot over my 40 years work and what is very good and great is the low criminality - one feels safe also during nights

At work in Stockholm the pressure has all along been very high and it has not always been that easy to go on summer leave. The people in Singapore are not used to take leave for 4-5 weeks that we do in the Nordics

Leaving this great job end of August but since I like very much to work and feel that I have a lot more to give I am interested in new challenages. Please keep in touch if you have something good to offer,
