A collection of the population is a selected target of future rewards. However, not everyone is included, it seems to be a strange priority of the various groups of voters.
The focus lies on the senior citizens. The representatives want the access to over 1.6 million votes which obviously is an important voter group, but there are more targets groups such as single parents, public sector workers, the unemployed and the hundreds of different security systems which all will improve and give higher dividends.
In other words, if you believe what the parties argue, everyone will be better off and work less. 6 hours a day with maintained benefits and salary levels, and new sabbatical years shall be introduced in some professions if we are to believe the left-wing party.
.
You just have to congratulate everyone who can benefit from these welfare rewards but I do not congratulate future generations who will have to pay. No one has brought up the funding in a serious manner, words such as profitability, return, financing and development are not yet mentioned.
If all these promises are implemented, Greece may face problems. The Swedish welfare model will create problems for the country. - But who cares!?
In Sweden, we are good at creating problems for future generations. Historically, this has been the easy and fast way to power, but unfortunately, also the short-term solution which will affect future generations.
The truth is that this is sad and pathetic actions from all the established parties. I can only agree with Urban Bäckström at the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise - Sweden is in great need of a new Agenda.
Urban would like to see the following areas prioritized: - A major tax reform.
- A better-functioning labor market.
- A strong industrial sector.
- A modern welfare policy.
- A stable social security reform.
- A more stable economy.
Unfortunately, I am not sure that people would listen to what Urban has to say. Not even these troublesome facts below makes the established parties to change direction or to review and modify their costly outmoded ideologies.
- An unemployment rate of 9.8 percent (Apr 2010)
- A youth unemployment rate of 30.1 percent (European record soon - Apr 2010)
- Not a single new job in the Swedish private sector since the 50s.
- No growth in the large Swedish multinational companies such as Ericsson, IKEA, Volvo, Electrolux which were all established before world war 1, except for H&M which was established in 1947.
However, other things have happened in Sweden since the 50s.
- The tax burden measured by share of GDP has increased from 21 percent (1950) to 47.1 percent in 2009 in proportion to GDP.
- The Swedish national debt has increased since 1970 when the debt stood at minus 36 billion SEK. Now the figure was minus 1.104 billion SEK in April 2010 (Source Riksgälden 2010-04-30). Of course, it was a different monetary value in 1970 but still, debts must be paid.
It looks like it has cost a lot of money to build the public sector, perhaps it is about time for a new name - Huge Business. One million new net jobs have been created in this Huge Business since the 50s, compared with zero in the private.
So now I'm expecting that the party representatives listen to Urban, it would be interesting if entrepreneurs and Sweden Inc. could once the become a target group and priority.
There are one million entrepreneurs in Sweden, so these individuals should be taken into consideration as well.
Do not forget that it is the industry that develop Sweden. Now we have to focus on developments.
We need a new party in Sweden, a party that works for a thriving business that should also be given an opportunity to compete on the global market. Why should not a Swedish Inc. have the same opportunities as a Finnish Inc. or a German Inc?
It is the only path to real jobs and an increased prosperity, everything else is just fake.
I would like to vote for the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise since the Swedish party ideology and party platforms feels outdated.
