Within the next ten years, China is expected to be the world’s largest single country for international tourism.
This year the country was visited by 2.1 billion tourists resulting in an increase of 9 percent compared to 2009.
Because of this, Marriott International Inc. recently completed a contract for seven exclusive hotels in China as part of its plan to double its presence in the country over the next five years.
In China, Marriott expects to have 60 hotels under six brands at the end of the year - six of them will be under the brand Ritz-Carltons.
