The expo has brought in a big amount of “expo-workers”, foreigners from all around the world working to get this big phenomena running.
The English Pavilion
For sure the headache of bringing this together has also kept many awake. The Expo area is enormous, like a small town actually, and the amount of visitors has been calculated to about 200 to 500 000 each day.
How to manage the huge proportions, the long distances to home countries, language barriers and regulations? Headache I would say!
And now its here! And it’s for sure a running phenomenon pulling people, companies and power into the city.
The Swedish Pavilion
The Swedish King, ministers, the Danish Mermaid (!) and bands and artists from all around the world are streaming into Shanghai. The vast amount of happenings and events is overwhelming. I want so se everything but now the big question is – what to attend and what not to attend?
There is a fight over the time and money of the target groups. It’s a big project to get to the Expo area, and once there, the area is huge! Moreover it’s not cheap to get tickets, and you need one for each visit. My calendar is filled with seminar, concerts and mingles and I could spend weeks in a row out there if time would allow it.
All in all it’s an adventure to be in the city seeing this whole thing coming to life, with all its specific impacts and effects on the city and country as whole.
