Visitors from India in the Cleantech field

We have had a visit from a representative of the Indian Government. He was interested in the products and services Western Swedish companies offer in the fields of environment, energy and climate!

Earlier this morning I experienced an interesting
coincidence. The Chinese government wants a commodities exchange with Sweden, for example, as a follow-up of the World Expo in Shanghai.

The two areas they are interested in are Cleantech
and Medtech. The same areas apply for the U.S., in regards to areas of interest according to the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce.

It is quite clear that the Cleantech area is important and will become increasingly important in the future. A lot of it is due to the industrialization of the economies in Asia, but also in South America.

The questions that we take for granted is a major
problem in these countries. It makes me remember when I was on the royal couple's trip to Thailand a few years ago. I was asked to travel along and present how Sweden has solved a number of environmental problems. One example was how we deal with hospital waste. In Thailand, they do not recycle which results in both environmental problems and health problems.

In Sweden we have a sophisticated process that solves the problem. Everything from containers, sorting systems, logistics, training, labeling, disposal, design of rooms and operating tables, etc. This is one thing I am sure that most Swedes never think about!

We export a lot, but we need to parcel and sell the whole process. Each product or service may have difficulties to market itself! Our international department can support the western Swedish companies!
