The site was given ‘Soft Landing Zone’ status in recognition of the support it provides to businesses looking to invest in the area.
The AMP has already attracted millions of pounds in investment to the region, and been awarded for the opportunities it offers to organisations.
A joint venture between private and public organisations, it is home to 17 high-tech companies.
The site in Rotherham was given ‘Soft Landing Zone’ status by the US National Business Incubation Association, winning this accolade for the support it provides to businesses looking to invest in the area.
It was announced last year that Rolls Royce will open a £25 million Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre at the South Yorkshire site, joining other world-leading organisations - including the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre with Boeing, the TWI Technology Centre and Castings Technology International (Cti). Technology developed at the AMP is being used in projects such Formula 1 and the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
