London - The best European capital city

But it also looks good for Stockholm for the future. Stockholm has climbed the ranking list and now receives the number four spot for best city when it comes to foreign investment.

This is not only a boost for Stockholm, but also for the rest
of the country. Investors often associate a city with a country.

The ranking European Cities & Regions of the Future 2010/2011 are from FDI Magazine and Financial Times and the evaluation is based on a variety of factors such as business climate, infrastructure and quality of life.

On the number one spot, we find London which also has
developed many areas. The economic potential, human resources and good infrastructure has contributed strongly to the top placement.

Sten Nordin, Financial City Commissioner, says that investors
primarily look for knowledge intensive factors such as life science, ICT and financial services.

This proves that Stockholm has a lot to offer and that our
investment environment is valuable. Stockholm receives the highest ranking among the Nordic countries and the fact that the city improves its ranking will contribute to benefits in the future.
