Ahmad Humaid Al Tayer, Governor of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), has hosted Crown Prince Frederik Andr Henrik of Denmark and a high-level Danish delegation at the DIFC.
Al Tayer said: "This visit gives us an opportunity to explore new economic complementarities and partnerships between our nations.
The world's shifting economic geography gives our countries an opportunity to redefine our current relationship and tap areas that can yield new synergies."
Al Tayer added: "The financial industry presents one such area of potential cooperation. We discussed many areas that present the possibility of cooperation and mutual investment in the financial industry."
Following his meeting with DIFC officials, Crown Prince Frederik met heads of Danish companies in the UAE. Later he attended the opening of a seminar on sustainable infrastructure and environment held at the Capital Club.
The delegation accompanying the Danish Crown Prince included Troels Lund Poulsen, Minister of Environment; Christian Konigsfeldt, Ambassador of Denmark; Per Thornit, Lord Chamberlain, Chief of Court; Jarl Frijs-Madsen, Ambassador and Under-Secretary for Foreign Trade and Investment.
