Both domestic and foreign companies are treated the same way in the United States and must follow the same laws, rules and procedures for acquiring or managing an investment. Foreign investors benefit from an open, transparent and non-discriminatory investment environment.

In the U.S., foreign investors find advanced physical and financial infrastructure and non-discriminatory legal action in case of an investment-related dispute.

Moreover, there is no mandatory screening for examining and approving foreign investment in the U.S. Unlike other countries, there are no rules on "minimum investment" or other regulations in the United States.

Another positive element is the country's area and population (the U.S. is multicultural), and therefore it cannot be said that just a state is the best place for investment. There is thus a very broad range that may not exist anywhere else in the world.

Foreign investors choose to invest in the U.S. because they have an open and welcoming investment climate. The U.S. has experienced the fastest increase in productivity growth among major industrial countries, and has an outstanding system of higher education and a great contribution to world-class infrastructure.

Among other things, these factors put the U.S. economy in a good situation to innovate and quickly take advantage of the rapid developments within information technology and other new technologies, such as environmental technology.

President Obama's attitude is that the U.S. gladly welcomes foreign companies and their investments, especially during this current crisis.
