Establishment Brazil - Brilliant opportunities ahead

Brazil has repeatedly been given a distorted image in the media and been perceived as a country in poverty. More recently, the focus of the country has been on developing services to improve the labor market.

More international companies are now looking to the market
and its advantages, especially in Sao Paolo with over 21 million people in the area.

Swedish companies in Brazil

Sao Paolo is an international city and the majority of inhabitants are of European origin. Sao Paolo is an overall population mix of different nationalities. The city is currently the second largest in the world after Tokyo, and here are also about 200 Swedish companies.

This has contributed to that the city is Sweden's largest
industrial city. Here, several companies are established. For example Astra, Scania, Skanska, Telia and Stora Enzo. If you are curious about an establishment you may contact any of these companies to get a better picture of how business operates in the country.

Exports and Imports

In the case of establishment, companies need to evaluate the market and see where the demand is greatest. Brazil's main export products are coffee, clothes, commodities, textiles, steel, paper, vehicles and certain chemicals. The most important imports of products are raw materials, fuels, industrial machinery, electrical equipment, automotive accessories, pharmaceuticals and plastics. Half of the Brazilian imports consist of raw materials.

Future Opportunities

In addition, the Olympics take place in Brazil in 2016, and the FIFA World Cup in 2014. This will result in many business opportunities for companies especially in Telecom, IT, security, the hotel and catering industry and infrastructure. Even now you can see what opportunities might exist for the big events. The preparations are time consuming and it will be a great competition on the market.

Finally, it should be mentioned that Brazil was among the last
countries to enter the crisis and among the first to get out of it. In other words, the country has done well during the tough times.
