Russia invests in service companies

President Medvedev has made a television speech to the Russian people in which he talks about a changing Russia.

His goal is that Russia should have a modern economy and
a less corrupt society. Broadband for everyone is one goal. He also wants to invest more in more nuclear power in the future.

The latest statistics shows that Russia must take action against corruption. In the first half of this year there were over 4.500 legal corruption cases. Medvedev does not believe that prison sentences are the only solution, even if they are needed.

He thinks the solution is a better democracy with free,
wise and responsible people. The society must change from being archaic where the leaders are in charge of the people.

The entire Russia needs to develop into a whole new business enterprise with changing attitudes, and the service-producing enterprises must have a positive future.

Today, Russia is a country with companies that largely
consists of industrial production, focusing on commodities.

Medvedev wants to see a new Russia where companies in
other sectors are growing. This will require upgrading of skills in the Russian people.
