Greencarrier - Worldwide Transport Solutions

Greencarrier is a company helping customers with shipments worldwide without having a single means of transport! Instead, they have very skilled and service-oriented employees who help customers to find the best transportation solutions.

- We are bringing back the position as forwarding
shipping agents in its original form, says Staffan Kjellberg on Greencarrier.

- Knowledgeable staff with the task of helping clients - as consultants. Instead of specializing in markets or means of transport, as it often is in the smaller shipping companies, or in the bigger companies - one contact person per country, we have chosen to have one contact per customer. That person's task is to solve all customer needs in regards to transport. Our motto is "One contact, the world".

Besides Sweden, the company has operations in Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Since the early 21st century, Greencarrier has grown from a dozen employees in Sweden to 250. One hundred out of these are employed in Sweden. These in turn have 10 offices located across the country, because proximity to customers is considered to be important.

- We help companies that do not have their own transportation services, says Staffan Kjellberg. It will be a high added value for them, because it is often difficult and time consuming for small and medium sized enterprises to manage shipments. We are the customers' extended service.

- We do not have a call center with anonymous
voices. Instead, we are in place and if there is a blizzard outside we understand the customers’ immediate problem.

Looking at the figures, this seems to be a concept that
really works - 2009 will be the best year so far in Sweden. In comparison with the large competitors, Greencarrier manage to take care of tasks on a short notice, what Staffan Kjellberg calls "panic stuff". But that does not prevent us from undertaking large and demanding journeys.

- We have the specialist knowledge required to handle
dangerous goods, we take on great project cargoes carrying hundreds of tons and we can handle living animals as well, says Staffan Kjellberg.

- We take on a lot that is beyond the ordinary and do not reject customers' requests and demands.

One thing that makes Greencarrier something beyond the ordinary in the transport industry is that they offer customers to save money by having a virtual warehouse.

This means that they connect the customer's business system and Greencarrier. This results in that Greencarrier ensures that the duty and VAT on imported goods are paid when they are sold instead of the moment they cross the border.

Green Carrier has a logo that symbolizes the globe, air and sea. The environmental awareness is there, but the choice of transport solution always comes after a discussion with the client. There are green, yellow and red elections where the green means that, for example, you choose a boat instead of truck.

Green Carrier has with flexible technology solutions and
customer needs in focus gained a unique position in the transport industry.
