Young people go to Norway and Denmark – Here are the opportunities

In Norway, there are 25.000 available jobs according to the Norwegian Employment Service and the number of Swedes is increasing in the country.

The interest in our neighboring country is great, and
it should be mentioned that the unemployment rate only is 2.7 percent.

Thousands of Swedes are in already there and although the
recession has hit the labor market, there is good hope of finding a job especially within service and health-care professions.

So far 75.000 Swedes work in Norway. Swedes' popularity grows, and it depends mostly on that Norwegians believe that Swedes are flexible and skilled. In addition, we have a high work ethic.

The average salary per employee is more than 41.000 SEK
, which is significantly higher than 27.100 SEK per month, and in Norway, you pay lower taxes but you have higher costs of living.

In Norway, the Swedish labor force increased substantially
during 2000's. You must however be aware that within construction it is more difficult to find work.

Denmark offers a good labor market for young people. There are many opportunities within service and care, especially in Copenhagen. Popular jobs in Denmark are in the service, healthcare, IT and Biotech industry and a normal working week is 37 hours.

In practice, the wages are higher in Denmark than in Sweden
, and if you are able to stay on the Swedish side of the bridge and commute daily, you will probably be successful.
