significant impact on Sweden, the Swedish industry and the cooperation between entrepreneurs and researchers in our countries, said the Ministry of Industry Maud Olofsson (the picture).
- Sweden has much to learn from Brazil in technological research, particularly in biotechnology, nanotechnology and how innovations can be commercialized. At the same time Sweden's high-class research and industry will offer Brazil a lot. This applies not least to our knowledge in areas such as environmental technologies, energy efficiency, waste management and sustainable urban design, says Olofsson.
Swedish Industry in Brazil Brazil is the world's ninth largest economy, Sweden's largest trading partner in Latin America and a country where many Swedish companies have industrial production.
Around 220 Swedish companies are established in the country and employs around 50 000 people. Overall, the Swedish industry in Brazil will be have approximately 85 billion SEK in turnover, more than ten times as much as the Swedish exports to Brazil.
