The 2009 Global Corruption Barometer has been published. This is a thorough investigation in which 73.000 people of different ages, backgrounds and professions in a total of 69 countries participated. The survey is conducted and published by the organization against corruption - Transparency International.
In the report, different results from a variety of angles are reported, everything from corruption in different countries, in various professions and in public activities, and also within political parties and parliaments.
In an overall result for all countries, it appears that political parties, public and Parliamentary Activities are the most corrupt, followed by the private sector, judiciary and the media.
If we take a look at the political parties that are under the influence of corruption we can find them in Argentina, Austria, Bolivia, Chile, Italy, Finland, Nigeria, South Korea, Britain and Venezuela. There are more countries in this category as these countries are not alone.
If we take a look at where corruption affects the business world we find countries like Norway, Denmark, Portugal, Hong Kong, Iceland and Spain are mentioned, but even here there are more countries.
A clear result is that people around the world are very tired of corruption and is willing to pay more to buy from companies, organizations and agencies that may be classified as "Corruption-Free". Furthermore, it is considered that the world's governments are very inefficient in their efforts to control corruption in different parts of the society.
