Now that the rainy holiday is over and we are addressing all the interesting media channels, it is very astounding to read that a private company in the health care sector in Sweden have to explain why they need to earn money, and everything is available on the website of Confederation of Swedish Enterprise.
The reason for this is that a Swedish prominent Social Democrat named Carin Jämtin has stated that companies in health care, education and care shall be limited to making money in Sweden, and she has support from the left-wing party leaders, which in itself is not surprising. But surprisingly, on the other hand, is that a person in that position does not have better insight.
Companies that do not make money disappear because they cannot afford to develop, and all entrepreneurs are aware of this. If the company cannot develop, it is close to shutting down the business, and there are always costs for developments whether we like it or not.
If we take a close look at GM-owned SAAB, what if SAAB had earned their own money?
In their industry, as far as I know, it is still allowed but it may change after the next election in 2010?
SAAB's management had not had to deal with the government to obtain loan guarantees based on tax money. Tax money which in turn is largely based on the company’s money. It is a good thing that so many companies are making money in Sweden, what else would the government build its future obligations on?
What if SAAB earned money? Then SAAB's suppliers would not have to lose huge sums of money in reconstruction. These subcontractors and their employees would have been pleased if they had been fully paid for their services and products. What if persons such as this S-woman could rule on these firms, only once?
It actually looks like it is important for companies to earn money. Who knows, SAAB was probably able to develop a profitable competitive model program if the money had been available?
I Read a recent country report from the company Dun & Bradstreet about Cuba and the situation the country finds itself in. It is not a sunshine story exactly, despite the fact that Cuba offers more sunshine than other countries.
Cuba has now introduced food and electricity rationing for its 11 million inhabitants, something to consider when you are preaching that companies should not be allowed to earn money. Cuba has considered this "limitation strategy" for years and I can promise that very few people are impressed with the outcome. Possibly, there is a couple here in Sweden, a man in Venezuela and a very angry man in North Korea that support this, but no more than that.
I wonder why most Cubans want to reach the other side where Florida begins? I mean, Cuba has no worse climate than Florida what I know. But it may be the food, who can enjoy the sun and swimming if you are hungry?
Yes dear socialist if you still belong to the S?
It would be good for AB Sweden if you would study how business works in practice. It is the industry that finances your mission, whether you like it or not. I can ask for that, given the fact that AB Sweden is almost an unthreatened champion worldwide on taxation.
Finally, it must be said that the Cubans who managed to reach Florida invested and succeeded, and the grass was greener on the other side. This may explain why more and more entrepreneurs will find this portal. More, not less, want to try to succeed after investing.
