Cyprus attracts

If you as a contractor are looking for a modern legal system, modern banking and finance, an efficient bureaucracy and the EU minimum tax level then the choice is Cyprus.

A growing number of Nordic companies are showing interest to establish their headquarters in Cyprus with a number of advantages as a result. But the corporate structure and corporate transfers must follow statutory regulations within the EU.

The Cypriot company must have a permanent establishment in Cyprus. For this reason, a majority of the Cypriot company's directors should be residents on Cyprus. However, the Swedish part of the group may remain in place in Sweden just as usual.

Registering and setting up a Cypriot company amounts to a cost
of about € 12 000 which includes the first year's operating cost and the assignment of the Swedish company.

The operational cost for the second year for a Cypriot company is just over € 5 000 and includes
  • Board
  • Registered office address
  • Revision
  • Accounting

Cyprus's attractiveness will continue grow for a long time to come, despite the EU's report on a future tax harmonization within the Union. To unite the now 27 member states to a common tax policy with all the different conditions is one of the biggest challenges within EU27.
