In 2010, it will become easier and cheaper to pay with credit cards and money transfers between EU countries.
Payments such as wire transfers, direct debits and card payments should be as simple, efficient and secure as national payments within a European Member State.
The directive takes effect in September 2009, but already next year the banks will begin to adapt their services under this directive. In 2010, the rules will be fully followed.
