Aardvark - The right translation to the right price

Aardvark means “jordsvin” in Afrikaans and it is a small animal that looks like an anteater with digging and precise characteristics, characteristics which are certainly needed in a company that translates practically all existing languages in the world.

There are six project managers and about 200 freelance translators who work at Aardvark Translations, and the texts do not necessarily need to include Swedish.

- We undertake all sorts of odd combinations,
Polish to Thai if you need it for example, says Johannes Söderman, owner and CEO of the company.

He says that Aardvark is one of the leading translation
companies in Sweden today, and the most common tasks are translations that has to do with manufacturing, technical texts and manuals of various kinds. But there is not much Aardvark decline - it would be porn, tobacco and weapon industries, says Johannes Söderman.

But what is it that distinguishes this company from others that also cover many language combinations and are good at many different kinds of texts?

- There are three things, says Johannes Söderman.
We offer
  • Lower prices
  • Very high level of quality
  • We work quickly.
The price levels we are able to keep down by carefully streamline all stages, we have a large amount of connected translators with good agreements. The quality is guaranteed by the method we work with. It contains three steps. First we do a translation, then proof reading, and in the third step the text is examined to make sure it does not seem to be translated from one language to another.

The text has to be as close to the target language as possible. If the customer has objections about something in the translation, the text will be adjusted until everyone is satisfied.

The speed expresses itself not only in that the work is done quickly and efficient, but also in fast quotations and they are very clear.

- We send a quotation most of the time within an hour, says Johannes Söderman, and often we are done before our competitors have even begun. Moreover, we do not stipulate the price, but have a complete total price per mission. This allows the customer to know exactly what the cost will be.

The digging and precise characteristics appear to
be right in time, because the number of customers is increasing. Current times have not affected the company negatively, the conditions they offer - good, assured quality a good price – has resulted in that the demand has gone up. The existing customers are satisfied. Aardvark knows that because they return. Among the customers are Ericsson, Scania, Tetrapak and Microsoft.

On the question of what the future may bring for Aardvark, Johannes Söderman responds that it is one of the three leading companies on the Scandinavian market.

The right translation to the right price is the business idea that will lead there.
