The agreement signed in the end of April is viewed as a starting point for both Växjö and Savannah to take advantage of green innovation in combination with new skills. The agreement goes further than that and the intention is to jointly find new green models for education and future economic development.

Savannah is a unique charming city located in Georgia USA, founded in 1733 with a clear Spanish character. The city got its breakthrough and ended up on the world map due to the Atlanta Olympics in 1996, when they were hosting the sailing competitions since they have access to the nice coast.

After this, Savannah city has developed with impressive speed, thanks to investments in infrastructure, IT and various high-quality educations. Moreover, there are also active organizations such as the Savannah Economic Development Authority (SEDA) that has great commitment and influence. They attract companies around the world to local establishments.

Many Swedish companies have selected Savannah as the first city for establishment in the U.S., where you will find many similarities with Sweden. But mainly, you will find well-educated people and good conditions for running businesses.
