The workshop group BRUKS has now chosen to expand further and this time China is the country for establishment. In a few years, BRUKS aims to have their own manufacturing in China.
BRUKS, which is part of Christer Ericsson JCE Group markets, designs and manufactures machines for the wood industry.
This is not the first time BRUKS establish themselves on the international market, they are already established in about 50 countries around the world. Since 2007, BRUKS has increased their sales volume by 100 percent. China is a popular country for establishment because it is cheap labor, but there are also other advantages.
- We have planned for an establishment in China for a long time, but needed to review our product portfolio before we took the final step. After the recent acquisitions and an extensive product development work, we now have comprehensive solutions to offer the Chinese market, says Anders Gustafson, CEO at BRUKS in a press release.
In the current situation, BRUKS has production in several countries such as Sweden and Germany and the plans for the future are great because it has gone extremely well in recent years. Right now they are not working on it but ultimately the goal is to have their own manufacturing in China but it is difficult to obtain all the objectives at the same time.
- China is a big market where we see great opportunities for expansion and in order to succeed we have to be in place. The sales office is a first step and in a few years we plan to have our own manufacturing in the country, says Anders Gustafson.
BRUKS staff has examined the Chinese market and found that the greatest potential is in the pulp and board industry. But these areas are not all since Anders Gustavsson also thinks the bio sector and bulk handling will grow in the future and that there are great opportunities within these sectors in China.
