FRANCE has a lot to offer

Establishing abroad met Mikael Larsson and Gilles Debuire at Invest in France to see what opportunities companies have to establish in France.

The Invest in France organization is spread across the world, but the Nordic office is located at the French Embassy in Stockholm.

-Mikael Larsson said that Swedish companies have created very many job opportunities in France in recent years. An interesting point is that Sweden as an investment country in France came in second place behind the U.S. in terms of creating job opportunities in France in 2007.

This is mainly due to the Swedish history and the fact that we have many strong global industrial companies. We see a huge difference in for example Norway and Denmark that hardly have any representation in France.

Now, however, Sweden has started to come behind other countries that are more active and Invest in France wants to change that. Right now, France aims high to attract research and development companies.

This is done by the French government and they offer these types of businesses a tax rebate of 50 percent. To communicate this, Invest in France arrange various seminars for companies around Sweden every month.

France is composed of different regions and what region to choose for an establishment depends on the type of activities you have. Invest in France are able to give you tips and advice on the way.

Invest in France want to state that all their services are completely free for those covered by the French State.
