India's market is huge and bureaucratic

Swedish companies’ interest in an establishment in India is great but the questions are many. Many companies do not really know what is required. There have been various studies to obtain what is important to consider during an establishment in this country. The fact that he situation in the country is sometimes politically troubled make many companies re-consider the establishment.

A research done by the IBC Euroforum recently brought up the most important factors to be aware of before taking the step into the Indian market.

The study raised important issues such as the difficulties the various companies have encountered in India.
Most companies responded that India's bureaucracy and tax-system are the most difficult to handle, and the existence of difficulties with deliveries and payments. Otherwise, it was mostly positive.

Swedish companies have been established
in the country for a long period of time. It is obviously easier for a larger company with a good economy to enter the country than for small or medium-sized companies. It is also easier if the company is “mature” and has been on the domestic market for a while. There is always a risk with a start-up regardless of the country concerned, but with a well-conducted and supervised examination of the country and market, your company will have great opportunities to succeed.

To receive information from other companies that have already been established in India for some time may be a good advice because their experience can be of great benefits, especially early on when every decision and step is important.

In regards to the future, India's ever-growing IT sector
has contributed to a lack of range of skills which means that there exist good opportunities for business, especially for IT companies
