Increased producer prices
in the Euro region

According to a report from Eurostat, producer prices in the Euro region increased by 1.1 percent last July compared to the month before and by 9.0 percent annually.

The expected price increase was primarily a result of higher energy prices. The crude oil all time high was USD 147 per barrel, compared to USD 107 per barrel last Tuesday.

The industry price increase, excluding energy and construction prices, was 0.5 percent monthly and 4.3 percent annually.

Analysts had estimated a monthly increase by 1.3 percent and 9.1 percent annually according to a Reuter survey.
