THE OLYMPIC DELIVERY AUTHORITY (ODA) and the London Organising Committee (LOCOG) estimate that the 2012 London Olympics will generate 75 000 new business opportunities and small and medium sized companies will be the big winners. Out of 650 companies who already signed orders, more than 70 percent are small and medium sized
companies. All companies, British as well as foreign, will compete for Olympic contracts.
- It is very important to remember that this will benefit British as well Swedish companies. Companies from all over the world will participate in this process with opportunities to sign orders worth a lot of money, explains Hans Kjellberg, Investment Advisor at UK Trade & Investments at the British Embassy in Stockholm.
The Olympics are a billion dollar industry and there will be a demand for companies from the construction industry, tourism, trade, media, manufacturing industry, marketing, IT and a lot more.
COMPANIES INTERESTED IN competing for these Olympics contracts and other related opportunities, should check out www.competefor.com and register. In addition to getting your company registered to compete for orders, you will receive newsletters to keep updated about what’s going on.
